Where did your ancestors come from? Was it Europe, Africa? It's quite possible to find their roots. You may even be lucky enough to find that some of their records are already online because as more and more people become intrigued with their origins, more are placing the information online.
Here are some good places that you could start. Searching Old letters, diaries, and journals if some can be found at home or going to the library. They can give you valuable clues of where to look next. They can provide you with missing pieces of your puzzle as you, the family detective, continue your quest to find the answers.
Start by giving as much as you know about your family background. Talk to your grandfather or mother (if still a life), old folks in your community. Church leaders, former teachers who are very old; just about anyone that you can thing of and don't forget about those old farmers.
